The Lubbock Moms Blog Team is growing! We currently have over 25 incredible women on our team, and we are now looking to add diverse, local event team members who are passionate about our city and interested in helping LMB produce high-quality in-person events. This is a volunteer position, but there are some really fun perks to make it more than worth it! Do you feel like you have something to give to Lubbock and LMB but aren’t a ‘writer?’ Please consider joining us!

Who we are looking for….

The Lubbock area is a vibrant community with many amazing parenting styles and cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds represented and we would love to continue to build a team that echoes the diversity of our community. With that in mind, the event team members we are looking for are:

  • Moms in the Lubbock area who have a passion for motherhood, our city and enjoy hosting and working events.
  • Women with a sense of humor and zest for life who don’t tend to take themselves too seriously.
  • A diverse group of women who represent the demographics of our community.
  • Moms of children of all ages, from infants to college-age.

Summary of Role:

  • Be available to help with one event every one to two months.
  • Be available for Event Team video chats (or in-person if schedules allow) to discuss event ideas, event promotion, etc.
  • Share our events within your social media circle to help generate buzz and excitement.
  • Be available the week before the event to help with any final event preparations (item pickups, stuffing swag bags, etc).
  • Be available the day of the event to help coordinate and facilitate the event.
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner (within 48 hours).
  • Represent Lubbock Moms Blog in a positive and professional manner at all times including social media presence.

What you give….

  • Commitment to attending and working signature events and smaller events as you’re able.
  • An active presence on social media. Facebook is required as it the means of communication for our team.
  • A 12-month commitment, beginning June 7, 2019.
  • Availability for occasional in-person contributor/event team meetings {complete with food, beverages, and laughter}.
  • A passion for moms, kids, and the Lubbock area.
  • A reliable, positive, and fun personality!

  • A rotating ad in our sidebar advertising your blog or business, for the duration of your participation.
  • A professional headshot and team photo shoot with LMB.

  • Potential opportunities to attend events and go to business openings while covering them on social media for LMB.
  • Information and professional development in the areas of event planning and event management.
